What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis by Cutera is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment for overall skin health. The laser gradually warms the deeper layers of the skin, which is designed to encourage fresh collagen and can help calm diffuse redness and refine texture and pores. There are no needles and no numbing cream, and you can go straight back to your day.
We offer Laser Genesis in Coleraine and Derry/Londonderry as a course for redness, early signs of ageing and dull, uneven skin, either on its own or as part of a wider plan. For visible veins, more defined redness or pigmentation, we may recommend Excel V+ alongside it, and MediLux LED therapy pairs well for extra calming.

Is there any downtime?
Usually none. You may look a little flushed for a short while, but most people return to work and wear make-up straight away.
How many sessions will I need?
Laser Genesis works best as a course, with sessions spaced a few weeks apart. The number depends on your skin and your goals, and we will agree a plan at your consultation. Occasional maintenance sessions can help you keep your results.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice a fresher, brighter look soon after a session. Improvements in redness, texture and fine lines build over the course and continue in the weeks afterwards as new collagen forms.
How is Laser Genesis different from Excel V+?
Laser Genesis is designed to improve overall skin quality and diffuse redness. Excel V+ targets specific visible veins, more defined redness and pigmentation. Some patients benefit from both, and we will advise which suits you.
Is Laser Genesis suitable for all skin types?
It is suitable for most skin types. It may not be suitable if you are pregnant, have a recent tan or an active skin infection, or take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light, so we check this carefully at your consultation.
Can I combine Laser Genesis with other treatments?
Yes. It pairs well with MediLux LED therapy, skin boosters and professional skincare treatments as part of a wider skin plan. We will plan the timing with you.
