How A Aesthetics collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. Who we are
This privacy policy explains how A Aesthetics (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, contact us, book a consultation, receive treatment or join our Skin Concierge Membership.
A Aesthetics is the data controller for your personal information. Our clinics are registered with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA).
Our clinics:
6–8 Dunmore Street, Coleraine, BT52 1EL
50 Victoria Gate, Derry/Londonderry, BT47 2TP
For any privacy question, contact us at contact@aaesthetics.net or 028 7051 2101, or write to us at either clinic address above.
2. The information we collect
Contact and booking details: your name, email address, phone number, preferred clinic, preferred appointment times, the treatment you are interested in and any message you send us, including through the consultation form on this website, by phone, email or social media.
Health and treatment information: when you attend a consultation or treatment, we collect your medical history, medications, allergies, relevant lifestyle information, consent forms, treatment notes, batch numbers of products used, aftercare and follow-up records. This is special category data, and we treat it with extra care.
Clinical photographs: with your consent, we take photographs before and after treatment for your clinical record. We will never use your photographs for marketing or social media unless you have given separate, specific written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Payment and membership information: records of payments and, for Skin Concierge members, subscription details. Card payments for membership are processed securely by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card details.
Website information: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 9). Our skin quiz runs in your browser and does not store your answers on our systems.
3. How and why we use your information
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we must have a lawful basis for using your information:
- To respond to enquiries and arrange consultations, because you have asked us to and to take steps before entering into a contract with you.
- To assess your suitability, provide treatment and aftercare, and keep clinical records, to perform our contract with you and, for health information, because it is necessary for the provision of health care (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including RQIA requirements, professional standards, record keeping, safety reporting and accounting.
- To manage payments and memberships, to perform our contract with you.
- To improve our services and website and keep them secure, in our legitimate interests.
- To send you news, offers and treatment reminders by email or text, only where you have given consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary, with:
- Our clinical team, who are bound by professional confidentiality.
- Trusted service providers who help us run the clinic and this website, such as our website host, booking and practice management software, email and messaging providers, Stripe for membership payments, and IT support. They may only use your information on our instructions.
- Your own doctor or another healthcare professional, where needed for your safety or care, normally with your agreement.
- Regulators, insurers, professional advisers or law enforcement where we are legally required or permitted to do so.
Some of our providers may store information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep clinical records for as long as health records guidance in Northern Ireland and our regulatory obligations require, which is normally at least 8 years after your last treatment. Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation are kept for no longer than necessary, and normally no more than 12 months. Financial records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, including restricted access, secure systems and staff training. Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is completely secure, but we take any concern seriously and will act promptly.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it (for example, we must keep clinical records for a set period);
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
- ask for your information to be transferred to another provider, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent, including for marketing and photographs.
To make a request, email contact@aaesthetics.net. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
8. Age
Our treatments and this website are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to make it work and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies to help us understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Third-party services on our site, such as Google Maps and Google reviews, may also set cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, our cookie banner.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
